Forgotten Valley Community Development Project is offering a Free First Aid Course in partnership with Richmond TAFE Outreach & Peppercorn Family Services for community members who live, work and play in Wiseman's Ferry and surrounding areas.

Priority will be given to parents with children aged 0-18, but others may take part if we have vacancies.

The course will run on Mondays's for 4.5 hours over 4 weeks.

Child minding, which will include "Storytime" will be provided by Peppercorn Family Services. This is for children ages 0-8 year and requires a gold coin donation required. Please ensure that if your child is attending that you provide food, drink and nappies.

A Family Worker from Peppercorn Family Services will be available to talk to in an informal and relaxed manner and can help you to:
• Answer questions
• Gain advice in relation to your family situation
• Access current information and resources in relation to parenting issue or child development
• Navigate and access other local services
• Browse the extensive parenting library which has been recently updated
Please note: the Peppercorn Family Services Drop-in Services is not a crisis service.

The Black Dog Institute recognises the importance of improving awareness of mood disorders to encourage early help‐seeking and promote destigmatisation.

This seminar will provide an overview of the history and services of the Black Dog Institute and information on identifying the symptoms of depression and bipolar disorder. It includes general information on causes of mood disorders, when and where to seek help and wellbeing tips. The desired outcome is that people will be better informed, better equipped to identify warning signs and feel more comfortable seeking help and communicating more openly and honestly.

Social Skills For 6-8yrs
A 6 week program that assists children to develop social skills to improve communication and social
