Get Ready for School - A Transition 2 School Program for children who will be attending Heckenberg Ps in 2011.
The Program will start in Term 2 & will run to the end of Term 4 2010. Time: 9am to 12/12.30pm once week (Friday).
The cost is free.
Parents are also welcome to attend parent workshops at the school while their child is attending the Headstart Program eg; How to help your child; Best Start Assessment ect.

A six session parenting program for parents with children aged 2 to 12 years. Parents learn ways to encourage children to learn the skills to promote their health, development and well being. In Term 2 the group will run on Mondays 3rd 10th 17th 24th 31st May & 7th June from 10am to 12.30pm. Childcare is available at no cost.

Kidspace is a group for children aged 5 - 12 where violence has happened in the it family. The group aims to bring children of similar experience together to celebrate their strengths and share their stories in a supportive environment.
The group involves some parental involvement.

This resource has been developed by the Sydney West Area Health Service (SWAHS) Multicultural Health Western Cluster team and has been approved for electronic circulation both within SWAHS and externally.
