Congratulations to the sucessful projects in the April 2010 round of funding.

The South East Sydney Parenting Coordination Project, is a Families NSW initiative, which is undertaken by The Benevolent Society. The aim of the project is to establish a framework for the coordination and promotion of parenting groups and programs for families with children aged 0-8 years across South East Sydney.
The project will support the existing service network and facilitate a focus on prevention and early intervention and the promotion of strengths-based approaches within parenting programs.
The South East Sydney Parenting Coordination Project will also administer a number of seeding grants every year. Grants will be offered over a period of two years through several open Expression of Interest rounds. The Seeding Grants will be up to the value of $3000 each. These grants will support innovation and collaboration in the service network in the delivery of parenting programs, and test models of best practice.
The Benevolent Society is Australia’s oldest charity, established in 1813. For almost 200 years we have been leaders in identifying the evolving needs of the community and pioneering vital social reforms and services. The Benevolent Society’s objective is for everyone to have the opportunity to live in communities that are safe, healthy and full of opportunities. For more information, please see www.bensoc.org.au
