Family Partnership Training

Family Partnership Training is a 5 full day course run at weekly intervals.This course is designed to provide basic training in the Family Partnership training (also known as Parent advisor model or Hilton Davis Training) (Davis, 1993; Davis, Day & Bidmead 2002). The model has been evaluated in a number of research projects and is being implemented in a variety of settings both nationally and internationally. The essential aims of the course are to enable people working with children and parents to improve their understanding of enabling processes and provide the opportunity to practise the skills of engaging parents and developing supportive and effective relationships with them. Attention will be given to the processes and skills of parenting, but this will be limited in this course, because of the existing expertise of the group.
Cost $550.00 for external participants, free for SWSLHD,SLHD and Tresillian and Karitane staff
