KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE

A four week parenting course for parents & carers, providing information & strategies to promote the care & protection of children. The duration of each session will be 3hrs. Topics covered each week include the following: Wk1: Risk assessment & Neglect/Preventing Neglect Wk2: Physical Abuse/alternatives to physical abuse & Emotional abuse/domestic violence/building up child's self esteem Wk3: Sexual abuse/protective behaviours & Indicators of abuse & Neglect/disclosure & helping children cope with abuse Wk4: Revision/reflection on previous sessions
